Cold Wave Spurs Overseas Opportunities! China's Heating Small Home Appliances Sell Well Globally, With Repeat Orders Surging

[Foreign Trade Express] In recent days, many parts of the world have been hit by a cold wave. The continuous cold weather has boosted the demand for heating small home appliances. With innovative designs and high cost performance, China's domestic heating small home appliances have set off an upsurge in overseas markets, with both the frequency of repeat orders and the scale of orders hitting a new high in the same period, becoming a representative of "warm strength" in the field of foreign trade exports.

According to customs statistics, from January to November 2025, China's exports of electric heaters, electric blankets and other electrical space heaters reached 106.15 million units, a year-on-year increase of 6.18%. Among them, the two major industrial clusters in Cixi and Yiwu performed prominently. Cixi's heater exports reached 3.32 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.4% to the EU; Yiwu's electric heater exports reached 290 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of as high as 32%, with products exported to Europe, America, the Middle East, Central Asia and many other regions. Data from Alibaba International Station also shows that as of the end of November 2025, the cumulative transaction scale of electric blankets increased by 224% month-on-month, making heating small home appliances one of the most popular categories in cross-border e-commerce.

This sales boom is not accidental. The rapid response and precise innovation of Chinese small home appliance enterprises have become their core competitiveness. In Cixi, Zhejiang - China's capital of small home appliances, local enterprise assembly lines are operating at full capacity. A cold and warm air all-in-one machine with both winter heating and summer cooling functions, relying on its decorative design simulating a fireplace, targets the European and Middle Eastern household markets and has sold tens of thousands of units shortly after its launch. In Yiwu International Trade City, wall-mounted heaters, floor heating-level heating carpets and other products are highly favored. Purchasers from Kazakhstan have placed repeat orders many times, and only recently a merchant received a new order of 28,000 yuan, receiving more than a dozen overseas customers every day on average.

"There are obvious differences in demand in different regions, and we always follow the market," said a person in charge of an enterprise deeply engaged in the foreign trade field. European and Middle Eastern customers prefer products with strong decorativeness, while Russian and Central Asian customers tend to choose space-saving wall-mounted models, and Southeast Asian customers favor portable rechargeable models. Relying on a complete supply chain system, enterprises can launch new products in as fast as less than 2 months from design and manufacturing to production, accurately matching consumer needs around the world.

Industry insiders analyze that the popularity of China's heating small home appliances going overseas continues to rise, which is on the one hand due to the rigid demand brought by the global cold wave, and on the other hand due to China's complete home appliance industrial cluster advantages and the agile innovation capabilities of enterprises. In the future, as enterprises continue to focus on the mid-to-high-end market, break through core technologies and optimize product quality, China's "warm strength" is expected to continue to warm the global market and inject more growth momentum into the export of small home appliances.
