The United States Has Made A Final Ruling On The Second Anti-dumping Fast Sunset Review Of Large Household Washing Machines

On July 24, 2024, the US Department of Commerce issued a final ruling on the second anti-dumping sunset review of large residential washing machines imported from Mexico: if the current anti-dumping measures are lifted, the dumping of the products involved will continue or occur again at a rate of 72.41%. This case involves products under the coordinated tariff lines 8450.20.0040 and 8450.20.0080 in the United States.
On January 19, 2012, the US Department of Commerce launched an anti-dumping investigation into large household washing machines imported from South Korea and Mexico, as well as an anti subsidy investigation into large household washing machines imported from South Korea. On February 15, 2013, the US Department of Commerce officially began imposing anti-dumping duties on products involved in the case in South Korea and Mexico, and imposed countervailing duties on products involved in South Korea. On January 2, 2018, the US Department of Commerce launched the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation into large household washing machines imported from South Korea and Mexico, and also launched the first anti subsidy sunset review investigation into large household washing machines imported from South Korea. On May 10, 2018, the US Department of Commerce made its first anti-dumping sunset review final ruling on large household washing machines imported from Mexico. On May 2, 2018, the US Department of Commerce made its first countervailing sunset review final ruling on large household washing machines imported from South Korea. On October 18, 2018, the US Department of Commerce made its first anti-dumping sunset review final ruling on large household washing machines imported from South Korea. On April 1, 2024, the US Department of Commerce launched the second anti-dumping sunset review investigation into large household washing machines imported from Mexico.
