Due to the small gap between the drainage tank and the washing tank of a fully automatic washing machine, there will be water residue in the inner cylinder of the washing machine, which is more prone to the growth of mold.

There are many bacteria in the slot of the washing machine

A survey shows that the presence of pathogenic bacteria in the slots of washing machines far exceeds the national hygiene standards for cleaning and disinfecting public goods in the hotel industry. Not only common pathogenic bacteria such as mold and coliform bacteria exist in the washing machine tank, but also pathogenic bacteria such as spoilage bacteria, cryptococcus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and fermentation bacteria. Most of these molds can harm women's health.

In fact, most of the bacteria in the washing machine are located in the inner groove, which is the interlayer between the inner liner and outer cylinder of the washing machine. The washing machine operates with an inner liner, while the outer cylinder remains stationary. When washing clothes, the sewage is discharged from the inner tank of the washing machine. Due to the insufficient drainage speed, the sewage will stay in the inner tank for a while. Over time, there will be dirt in the inner tank. The inner groove of a washing machine is like a sewer, with a lot of dirt inside. If not cleaned in time, these dirt will ferment and breed bacteria. In addition, keeping the washing machine in damp and poorly ventilated areas such as the bathroom can help bacteria multiply faster.

Developing a scientific laundry habit

Ordinary citizens should develop scientific laundry habits in order to better deal with secondary pollution from washing machines.

Firstly, the washing machine should be placed in a well ventilated area;

Secondly, underwear should be washed separately from other clothes to reduce cross infection between them;

Finally, immediately take out the clothes to dry after washing, and do not immediately cover them. Let the washing machine ventilate to evaporate any remaining moisture inside the inner cylinder.

If conditions permit, the washing machine can be cleaned regularly after about six months of use. Use specialized cleaning agents to disinfect and clean washing machines.

Cleaning method:

1. Remove the washing machine drain pipe and place it on an empty bucket. Close the inlet valve and front door.

2. Pour 20L of water and 10L of descaling agent into an empty container and stir evenly.

3. Pour the mixed descaling agent solution into the detergent addition box, being careful not to splash onto the skin.

4. Clean the body according to the general washing mode, wait until the descaling liquid is discharged from the drainage pipe into the bucket, then add the discharged descaling liquid from the detergent addition box, repeat several times, and then open the filter to clean the filter screen.

5. After cleaning with descaling solution, turn on the daily washing mode and wash with clean water again.
