Indian Defense Minister: 'Operation Vermilion' Continues, No Desire For Escalation But Will Not Retreat
The Indian government convened a cross-party briefing on Thursday where Defense Minister Rajnath Singh apprised participants, including opposition representatives, regarding developments in "Operation Vermilion."
Citing confidential sources, Indian media reported Minister Singh disclosed that approximately 100 "terrorists" had been neutralized in precision strikes under the operation. The minister emphasized operational sensitivities, stating "As the mission remains active, specific details cannot be divulged presently."
Singh delivered a calibrated message: "While we seek no escalation of tensions, let it be unequivocal - any provocative actions by Pakistan will meet proportionate and resolute responses from India."
